Nigerian pop musician, Azeez Fashola, popularly Known as Naira Marley is currently facing fraud and theft charges.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission preferred 11 charges against the musician.
According to the EFCC, he committed the offences on different dates between Nov. 26, 2018 and Dec.11, 2018, as well as May 10, 2019.
Naira Marley, who sang the popular song: “Am I a Yahoo Boy?”, was again arraigned on December 12 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
The charges border on conspiracy, possession of credit cards belonging to victims and fraud.
The court adjourned the trial of Naira Marley to February 27-28, 2020.
